A new opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Engineering Manager to work with an innovative and progressive client, based in Wiltshire.

Our client is a market leader in the field of Rail Braking Systems and Door Systems technologies. Designing and manufacturing high quality award winning Rail Braking and Door Systems, this is a professional Departmental Management role

The role:

Electronics Engineering Manager to manage a team of 17 Engineers and responsible for New Product design and development. Software configuration and product support through 35 year service life, provision of manufacturing and supporting the business for all related electrical and electronics issues. Product support (Change control) for obsolescence planning, maintaining product range and validating products.

• Engineering program delivery adherence
• Reasonable understanding of C/C++ programming, appreciation of real time embedded software programming
• Knowledge of Serial Communications, CAN Bus
• Product support
• Departmental budget owner, focus on savings initiatives, Capex justification and delivery to budget
• Continuous Improvement Product reliability
• Knowledge of design impact to manufacturing process, Compliance to ROSH and WEEE
• Develop plan and manage resources to deliver customer specifics
• Integration of software into Electronic products and development lifecycle
• Obsolescence management experience and application of root cause analysis

The person:

• HNC/HND degree in Electronic Engineering discipline or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Industrial Engineering Management
• Dynamic strong decision maker
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to manage and motivate with strong leadership credentials to ensure facilitation of delivery of targets
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement
• Team player, motivational, support tenders
